Be Thankful Always

Be thankful for everything that happens in your life, it's all an experience, and this is one I won't soon forget.
The air is cool tonight—crisp and clean, with that gentle bite that hints at the coming dusk. I’m wrapped in a blanket, tucked inside a covered wagon beneath a canvas roof that rustles softly with the breeze. It’s quiet out here in the Palouse, the land rolling in waves of gold and green beneath the fading light. There's something sacred in the stillness.
I’m journaling by the soft glow of lantern light, letting my thoughts settle like dust after a long ride. A coyote howls in the distance, its cry echoing across the open hills, and it feels like the land itself is singing a lullaby from another time. This place—this moment—feels suspended, like I’ve stepped through the veil into a dream of the Old West.
For someone who’s always been drawn to the stories of wide-open spaces and simpler times, this experience is soul-filling. I’ve stood in the spray of waterfalls that steal your breath, tasted the salt of the ocean on my skin, and watched light dance through ancient trees. I’ve seen beauty I can’t quite put into words—but tonight, in this wagon, it all feels like it’s come together.

After the deep grief of losing my mom and Scott, this trip has been more than just a journey—it’s been a quiet healing. A return to something true. My soul feels lighter. More whole. I didn't know how much I needed this until now. And for all of it—for every trail, every photo, every quiet moment under a sky full of stars—I’m endlessly grateful.
