The town of Manteo on Roanoke Island is rich in history. The Elizabeth II is an exact replica of the ship used by Sir Walter Raleigh to bring the first settlers to Roanoke. Manteo is also know as "The Lost Colony" as the settlers disappeared when they waited 3 years for supplies. Fascinating! I love American History!
