That For Me You Have A Plan

That For Me You Have A Plan~

This day August 9, 2015. My 56th birthday. I stood for my first time on the Oregon Coast. I think at this moment I felt more connected to God than at any other moment in my life. At a crossroad, unsure of my journey, my purpose in all of this, finding myself losing faith, I stood in front of this mighty ocean and beautiful scene and felt peace. It is hard to explain the spirituality I have found in nature, God’s creations, but I am grateful that I... have.

Music and literature play an enormous part in my artwork. It serves as my inspiration in bringing the emotion to my work. I heard this song by David Archuleta yesterday and thought of this moment and image.

Heavenly Father, I am grateful For your eternal presence I am learning to be patient And that you are really there

Sometimes I am afraid And I know that's lacking faith But I'm beginning to understand That for me you have a plan

Heavenly Father, I am grateful For you sending your son To die so that I live And for never giving up

I'm learning everyday That I won't always have my way But I'm beginning to understand That for me you have a plan

Heavenly Father, I am grateful For you hearing my prayer I am learning to be patient And that you are really there

There are answers I'm receiving No, they're not always immediate Sometimes I have felt defeated That's when I kneel down in prayer

You show me you hear my prayer I'm amazed by how you care Because you hear My little prayer ~ David Archuleta My Little Prayer
