Polar Plunge

This was a moment and not really one of those warm fuzzy kind of moments. January 3rd 2014 I wrote: "Note to self: The ice is not as thick as it looks! But in true photographer fashion, gently lay your camera on the ice and push it towards shore, then pull yourself out of this polar plunge predicament you've gotten yourself in! All is good, so glad I am wearing wool!"

Yes. I fell through the ice on Lake Superior in -20 degree weather. I wanted this shot. I got a little more than I had hoped for!
