Regrets Take The Place Of Dreams

March 18, 2017

“A man is not old until regrets take the place of dreams.” ~ John Barrymore.

After visiting the enchanted Magnolia Plantation the fall of 2014, I knew I wanted to see these beautiful gardens in full bloom. Unfortinately a couple of days before our visit, mother nature decided to throw a curve ball, laying down a killing two day freeze. It was ceratinly disappointing to see the azeleas limp and hanging on the bushes. Once I overcame the disheartenment, I realized that the dying blooms actually added to the charm of this almost two century year old plantation.
